By Douglas Preston/Lincoln Childs

Twelve years before, Special Agent Pendargast’s wife was attacked by a lion and killed while on a safari. In the process of looking at his wife’s possessions he makes a shocking discovery; her death was no accident. Lt. Agosta assists him when they return to Africa and faces his wife’s secret past. Not as “on the edge of our seat” as some of his books, but still hard to put down with intrigue on every page.

by Dan Brown

This is a thriller, can’t-put-down story of a breathless deadly race through the hidden chambers and tunnels in Washington DC. A tapestry of veiled history, codes and surprises The Lost Symbol is a re-examination of 2000 years of religious beliefs. A follow-up to the Da Vinci Code this one will be impossible to forget.

By Jodi Picoult

Anna was conceived as a bone marrow match for her sister Kate who had suffered from Leukemia since childhood. Throughout Anna’s young life, she had to undergo countless surgeries, transfusions and invasive tests so her sister can live. But when she reaches her teens, she decides she isn’t going to do it anymore. A provocative and inspirational story that raises a lot of questions.

by David Balacci

This involves a kidnapping of a child at a Camp David birthday party. Two retired P.I.”’’s are brought back into service in a race to save an innocent victim where the line between friend and enemy is impossible to define. A good commentary on politics in the government. dh

by Sara Gruen

This is an arresting novel with a showman’’s expert timing to make it more dramatic. The pathetic grandeur of the depression-era Circus gives you an engrossing picture of the violence, fun, comaraderie, sights and smells of the circus. Plus a tase of what its like to grow old. Great story!
